{ 12 things learned about blogging so far }

So, turns out blogging is addicting.  I now have a list (I ALWAYS make lists, of anything & everything) of 20+ different subjects I want to blog about.  {Here's a quick preview of that list: recap of our weekend at Skamania Lodge, some awesome magazine-clip-out-style collages created with polyvore, 10 random things I never knew about the Blazers, our journey - year one, beauty favorites - part II, a wreath for every season, home favorites, bunko group, latest sewing project, & the list goes on & on...}

Problem:  The perfectionist side of me wants to make each post perfect before publishing (say that 3x times fast) which keeps me from just blogging when I really want to. 

Solution: Stop being a perfectionist. 

Done.

Here are the top 12 things I've learned about blogging so far:

#1 totally addictive

#2 unbelievably therapeutic

#3 everyone that blogs has an etsy account

#4 there's no unrealistic expectations for your blog to be flawless or...

#5 that you {do not} have to be a good writer (phew!)

#6 unless I wanted to get sued or yelled at, I need to give photo props.  even especially when blogging.

#7 there's an unspoken rule that, "you follow my blog, I'll follow yours." er, maybe I made that one up?  Either way, I think (?) that's the etiquette, unless it's a fancy blog (by fancy I mean, over 50 followers) or someone you don't know.

#8 blogging is virtually like stalking someone. 

But it's totally acceptable & much more insightful than Facebook stalking ; )

(which is also widely practiced accepted, whether people admit it or not).  Blog stalking is also a sincere form of flattery

#9 blogging makes you feel vulnerable:

raw feelings/thoughts/emotions/opinions {unless it's set to private}
